Terry, my dealer just returned my 4200 w/ new axle. I ditto your comments concerning the improvement. However, I am certain the front wheels turn further to the right than to the left. Have you or anyone else noticed this or is mine just in need of adjustment?

When you say you have the updated 3rd SCV Lever, are you talking about the round knob that engages the mid-PTO, or the lever mounted on the right fender that lowers and raising an implement such as a mid-mount mower? I'm sending my 4200 in for scads of warranty work tomorrow and am having trouble with both. The round knob has broken off twice while engaging my mower, and the lever that raises and lowers the mower hangs in the up position and does not automatically center at neutral. If there's a fix for either one, I'd sure like to know about it. Thanks in advance for your help!

I've tried reconnecting the loader hydraulic hoses up, down, and sideways. Up seems to give the best results, but still rubs a little. Also have put more plastic ties to hold the hoses in place. The manual shows the hose fittings as straight, rather than a right angle. Maybe this would help, but the dealer says the 420 loader with the 4200 should have angular connectors. As far as I can figure, it's just a poor design.

Mike S., How were you informed that the recommended time for the first hydraulic fluid change was reduced to 50 hrs.? I've had a 4200HST since March '99 and have not heard a peep about this from John Deere.
